The Department of Finance is pleased to announce the promotion of Kimberly Gay-Armour as the new Division Chief for Risk Management, replacing Pam Schroeder who retired earlier this year. Kimberly has served the Division as the Insurance Manager since January 2016 where she has been responsible for managing the operations and activities of the Montgomery County Self Insurance program and handling of all commercial insurance policies. She brings over 30 years of insurance and risk management experience to the position, including serving as insurance manager with MedStar Health and Sodexo, and 9 years with the County Risk Management program early in her career.
Kimberly’s knowledge and experience will benefit the Self Insurance Program as she takes on greater responsibilities in managing the day-to-day operations of the Risk Management Division, managing a large claims operation, evaluation of the annual actuarial analysis, overseeing annual budget preparation and cost allocation, and personnel management.
Kimberly will begin her new role effective Monday, August 6.
